Located in the small country town of Harpersville 30 miles south of the Cathedral, Camp Vakakes is a vast, tree-lined 45 acres of peaceful serenity. As you enter the gates, you are greeted with a calm 6-acre lake with a large covered dock. The dock houses 2 small jon boats for paddling and fishing.
A large sprawling, rustic pavilion overlooks the lake. The pavilion, which comfortably seats 250 is a beautiful setting for our annual Pashca picnics and fall festivals.
A small hike away, sitting atop a hill above the lake and pavilion, is St. Paul's Chapel. This quaint little chapel seating 150 hosts monthly Divine Liturgy services and occasional weddings and baptisms.
